There’s something romantic about being tucked away on this quieter side while still having everything at your fingertips. Plus, you know what? The restaurant scene in Hull is actually fantastic, and you’ll discover places most tourists never find.

Your Room Experience

The room I stayed in was comfortable without trying too hard — clean lines, decent space, and everything you need without unnecessary frills. The beds are properly comfortable (not those rock-hard hotel mattresses that leave you aching), and the bathrooms are well-maintained. What struck me was how quiet it gets at night, which is honestly rare when you’re staying somewhere so central. The windows are good quality, and even though you’re on a city street, you’ll sleep well. The Wi-Fi actually works properly too, which — let’s be honest — isn’t always a given.

Getting Around

The beauty of staying here is how walkable everything becomes. You can stroll along the Ottawa River, explore the Gatineau side’s cafés and bistros, then cross over to Parliament Hill or the ByWard Market when you feel like it. Parking isn’t a nightmare here like it can be in downtown Ottawa, which is a real bonus if you’re driving. The hotel staff actually knows the area well — they’ll point you toward the good spots rather than just handing you a generic tourist map. I found myself discovering little corners of Hull I never would have found otherwise.

  The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood within 30min walk to the Parliament Hill. The host was easy to communicate with. The apartment is clean and the beds comfortable.
