Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually in one of Ottawa’s most dynamic neighborhoods without the downtown chaos. Kanata has this interesting mix of tech offices, shopping centers, and residential areas that somehow works really well. The Tanger Outlets are basically a five-minute drive if you need to grab anything, and there’s a decent selection of restaurants within walking distance. I mean, it’s not the ByWard Market, but for a business trip or extended stay, the convenience factor is pretty impressive.

The room I stayed in was actually a proper suite with a separate living area and a full kitchen — not just a kitchenette, but a real kitchen with full-size appliances. This is where the extended-stay concept really shines. You’ve got a proper dining table, a comfortable sofa, and enough space to actually live rather than just sleep. The bedroom feels separate from the work area, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re staying for more than a couple nights. Everything’s clean and functional, though the décor is pretty standard Marriott — pleasant but not particularly memorable.
