Motel Adam Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, Motel Adam surprised me right from the start. I’ll admit, when I first heard “motel,” I wasn’t expecting much — but this three-star property on Greber Boulevard completely changed my perspective. The moment you pull up, there’s something refreshingly straightforward about the place that actually works in its favor. It’s clean, well-maintained, and the staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay comfortable. The attention to detail is immediately noticeable, from the neat landscaping to the welcoming entrance.
Location & Getting Around
The location in Gatineau is honestly pretty smart if you know the area. You’re close enough to Ottawa that crossing over for sightseeing is no big deal, but you get to stay somewhere quieter and — let’s be real — more affordable. Greber Boulevard itself is one of those main arteries that locals use, so you’ve got easy access to restaurant and shops without being stuck in tourist central. There’s decent parking right on-site, which anyone who’s tried to park in downtown Ottawa will appreciate. The surrounding neighborhood offers convenient access to local amenities and services.
The Room Experience
My room was exactly what I needed — nothing fancy, but thoughtfully put together. The beds are actually comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss that can be at motels), and everything feels fresh and updated. I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards, but there’s free Wi-Fi that actually works, the air conditioning keeps things cool, and the bathroom is spotless. Sometimes that’s all you really want after a long day of exploring. The furnishings are practical and well-maintained throughout.
What Makes It Special
Here’s the thing that really stood out — the staff actually remembers you. I stayed for three nights, and by the second day, the front desk person was asking how my trip was going. That kind of personal touch is rare these days, especially at budget-friendly places. The whole operation feels family-run, even though I’m not sure if it actually is. They keep the property incredibly clean, and there’s this attention to small details that you don’t always get at chain motels. The housekeeping team takes genuine pride in their work.
Why Guests Love It
I can totally see why couples rate this place so highly — it’s got that cozy, no-fuss vibe that’s perfect when you just want a comfortable base for exploring the region. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use, but everything you do need is there and works well. The value is honestly hard to beat, especially considering how close you are to both Gatineau’s attractions and Ottawa across the river. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day refreshed, and don’t feel like you’ve blown your travel budget on accommodation alone. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this motel delivers reliable comfort and genuine hospitality.
Hotel in Ottawa reservations spike ahead of tulip festivals, so savvy travelers lock in canal-view balconies months in advance.

Easy to find. Easy parking outside your motel room. Lots of choices for the included breakfast and was kept well stocked. Staff were professional, pleasant, and were attentive to any needs. Bed was comfortable.
Werner from Canada (8/10)
The room was basic but of good size. The shower worked well, with good stream of water and the tub drained well. The TV was large and worked well. The microwave functioned with no problems as well as the coffee maker. The included breakfast was good with decent choice especially for hot beverages. There was some fruit, bananas and apples.
